A Little Bit of History…

We just had to share this story with you all the way from New Zealand!

Hi Mike and Laurie,

A little bit of history!

In 1963 my brother Malcolm and I toured right round America on Greyhound bus travel passes. We stopped off in Great Falls and made our way to Hoglund’s to buy our western kit.  Boots, belts, beaver hats, the lot! Served personally by Stu and Hazel Hoglund. — Lovely people! I’ve still got all that gear sixty years later. Pants seem to have shrunk but the rest still fits!

The attached letter (below) is in response to my order two years later, for four Bailey straw hats.  Yes, they arrived here in New Zealand safe and sound in their wooden box!

All a great testament to those good people and to the way business used to be done.

Kind regards,
Peter McCaw
